Meet Blanca Coco — Traveler, Adventurer, Road Warrior & Life Lover

When did you start traveling? Was it an instant love affair? What inspired you?

I started in 2018 when I met my partner. At first, I just tagged along on some of his trips. Eventually, we started taking longer adventures in a rooftop tent… and before we knew it, we were restoring an old camper and living on the road full-time. It was definitely a love affair. I still stay up late some nights researching new ways to make this lifestyle more functional and fulfilling. The inspiration comes from the people we meet and the places we get to explore.

How do you balance full-time travel with work?

It’s been a lot of trial and error. We’ve had to figure out what works best for us through experience, flexibility, and a lot of patience.

What place has surprised you the most—and why? (The hidden gem that wasn’t even on your radar.)

Egypt absolutely blew my mind. I’ve always been obsessed with history—I dressed up as Cleopatra three Halloweens in a row! Seeing the pyramids and ancient architecture in real life felt like stepping into a dream.

What does “feeling alive” look like to you on the road? (Moments that make it all worth it.)

It’s those moments when you’re completely alone for miles, surrounded by raw beauty and endless space. That pure freedom? That’s when I feel most alive.

What’s a travel moment that changed the way you see the world—or yourself? (A perspective shift that stuck.)

Any time I catch a sunrise or sunset, those moments are grounding and a reminder to stay present.

Where do you go—or what do you do—when you need to reconnect with yourself?

The beach. Always the beach. Growing up in San Diego, it was my safe place—and it still is, no matter where in the world I am.

What’s one ritual or habit you carry with you wherever you go? (A grounding practice amidst constant motion.)

Morning coffee must be enjoyed outside—even if we’re parked outside a Walmart.

What was your last great read?

What is next for you this year — and next? 

This year we made a shift—canceled our return trip to Alaska and decided to explore the Pacific Northwest with our friends. Slowing it down, you know.
